About Me
Saalihah Patel
Saalihah Patel is a dedicated advocate for the well-being of nature, children, and women. She grew up in a small community, raised by a determined mother who played a pivotal role in shaping her values.
Immersed in a close-knit environment, Saalihah developed a deep connection to her surroundings, frequently exploring the natural world, which fostered her appreciation for it. Her mother instilled in her the principles of resilience and compassion, inspiring Saalihah to aspire for greatness despite their modest circumstances.
Driven by a profound commitment to effecting positive change, Saalihah pursued a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations at the University of South Africa. Her academic focus encompassed economics, politics, environmental policy, and civil rights and liberties, all with the intention of tackling the urgent challenges confronting our planet and its most vulnerable populations.
Saalihah’s artistic side was a way for her to express her emotions and most often her love, appreciation and celebration of others. With this spark, blossomed the idea of a gift that keeps on giving. As a result, Hummingbird Artistry was born, creating long lasting meaningful bespoke gifts became a passion of hers.
